The Bitcoin White Paper, “Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System,” was published on October 31, 2008 under the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto. In 2015, reports by Gizmodo and Wired identified Australian computer scientist Dr. Craig S. Wright as the person behind that identity. On November 15, 2018, Bitcoin SV (BSV) forked from Bitcoin Cash in an effort to restore and preserve the original Bitcoin protocol, continuing a chain of signatures that traces back to the Genesis Block mined on January 3, 2009.
